Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing: the Internal System for Reporting Violations
The term whistleblower (from English: to blow the whistle) generally refers to a person who, having become aware of potentially unlawful acts or facts within their working environment, decides to report them through confidential and independent internal channels specifically established by the company.
Esti Srl has adopted an internal system for reporting violations aimed at safeguarding the confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identity and protecting them from retaliatory conduct resulting from the report, in accordance with European and national whistleblowing regulations (most recently, Legislative Decree No. 24 of March 15, 2023, which implements Directive (EU) 2019/1937 into Italian law).
The reporting system is formalized in a Procedure, which can be consulted from this page.
Under this Procedure, the Company has established dedicated channels, managed by autonomous and independent structures, through which it is possible to report behaviors, acts, or omissions — including well-founded suspicions — that the whistleblower has become aware of in their work environment and believes may constitute a violation of the rules governing the Company’s activities.
The structures responsible for receiving and handling reports, the means through which reports may be submitted — in writing, orally, or through a direct meeting — the persons eligible to report, and the report management process are all defined in the Procedure, which should be referred to for full details.
In particular, all whistleblowers may use a dedicated digital platform — available through the link indicated in the attached Procedure — designed to ensure, through technical measures, the confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identity.
Under certain conditions established by law, it is also possible to make external reports directly to the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC). Information about the external reporting channel, the procedures, and the requirements for submitting such reports are provided in the Procedure.
